Krisann Mayfield, MA, LPC-Supervisor
Krisann is first and foremost a follower of Christ, a wife of over 22 years, and mother of 2. She has a passion for helping individuals identify, process, and heal from painful experiences that negatively impact daily life. She truly believes there is hope for anyone who is willing to put in the hard work, it's just a matter of finding the right support to walk the healing journey with, and this includes men and women who suffer from depression, anxiety, PTSD, and relationship problems. Krisann works with a variety of adults in all different circumstances and would love to see if she is a good fit for your needs. It is important for her to never waste anyone's time or money, and for this reason, she is not afraid to ask invasive questions, working hard to get to the root of the issues. If she is not the right fit for your therapeutic needs, she is more than happy to provide referrals.
Krisann has been a licensed therapist since 2012 and has active licensure in both Arizona and Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Health from Arizona Christian University (formerly Southwestern College) and obtained her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling with a minor in Human Resources-Substance Abuse Counseling from Ottawa University. She has worked with many different clientele including combat veterans from all eras, troubled adolescent females in a locked mental health facility, male adolescent sex offenders, adults of all ages with serious mental illness (including depression, anxiety, psychosis, personality disorders, etc), and has facilitated multiple marriage groups. Krisann is not limited to one modality for therapy but uses implements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma Informed Care (TIC), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model. You are unique, and your therapy should be too.

SPECIALITIES
Adult Industry Work and Sex Trafficking
Believe it or not, adult work and sex trafficking are usually related to one another (but not always). Do you feel trapped in the type of work that you do and don't see a future for yourself? Are you tired of being disrespected and only looked at as an object or commodity? Do you want to discover who you really are again, or maybe for the first time? No matter where you find yourself on the spectrum of needing something different, there is NO judgement and please let us help support you in taking those steps! And this industry is not limited to women; many men have known this experience as well. |
Combat Veterans
You may be in a place of confusion wondering why it has been so hard to readjust to civilian life. Your family may have noticed that you seem like a different person than before you left for combat. You may find yourself easily triggered by things that never seemed to bother you in the past. You don't have to keep suffering in silence! It is okay to not be okay. It takes more strength to admit weakness than to keep pretending you've got it all together. Let's collaborate together to help you find peace once again and find out what it looks like for you to readjust to civilian life here at home. |
Clergy/Pastors
"It's lonely at the top." Are you struggling with issues that feel unsafe to talk about with a church buddy for fear of your reputation being ruined? Does your family feel like you care more about the church than you do them? Are you struggling to implement good time management with your priorities, justifying that you are doing "the Lord's work"? Let's prioritize God, then implement healthy boundaries in your marriage, your family, and relationship with church members, It's time to start living a life of freedom, not bondage to your special calling. |
SRA (Satanic Ritual Abuse)
If you are having intense flashbacks of sexual abuse that include ritual activities, you may be a survivor of SRA. If you feel like you are going crazy because of intrusive thoughts that you cannot connect a memory to involving sexual and ritual abuse, you may be a survivor of SRA. We know how hard it is for you to establish trust with anyone, much less a stranger who asks invasive questions (aka mental health therapist). Rosebud Counseling Services is a safe place for anyone who is a survivor of Satanic Ritual Abuse. You are loved and your story will be heard and believed. |
